What is Sculptra?
Sculptra contains poly- l- lactic acid. It is used for volume augmentation and improving the skin condition in the areas of injection.
What areas are treated with Sculptra?
Sculptra is used to augment volume and improve the skin condition in the face (forehead, temples, cheeks, nasolabial folds, chin, jaw), neck, décolletage and hands. It is also used for volume augmentation in the buttock, calves and arms. It also helps to reduce the cellulite.
How does Sculptra work?
Sculptra works by producing an inflammatory response in our body leading to collagen formation. This in turn improves the volume and skin condition in the areas injected.
How many sessions are required?
Generally, multiple treatment sessions are required. Treatment sessions are done 1 to 2 months apart. This will be discussed with you during your consultation with our doctor. The number of sessions required varies significantly between the individuals.
What are the side effects of Sculptra?
Generally Sculptra treatment is safe and adverse effects are uncommon. Side effects of Sculptra include bruising, short term swelling (24 to 48 hours) and rare chance of having lumps. We inject Sculptra using a cannula to reduce the chances of complications.
What is the aftercare for Sculptra?
The after care will be explained during your consultation and immediately after the treatment. It will also be emailed to you.
Can Sculptra be done in combination with other treatments?
Sculptra can be performed in combination with other treatments such as Botox, Dermal Fillers and PRP.
